Initial setup problems was only a single quote issue

Given a user exists with first_name: 'Jason'
this wouldn't work for me and I pulled my hair out just to find out
that all I needed was double quotes:
Given a user exists with first_name: "Jason"

I was wondering why this is invalid? When I run my tests they pass with double quotes but when I switch one to single quotes then I get an undefined step.
Are double quotes required? If they are required can you note that in the README?

Sorry about that, I misread the ticket as being a solution to another
invalid bug.A note in the readme is a fine idea.
